VOTING FOR THE 2010 AWARDS
Voting will open on Mon 15th March 2010.
VOTING - FAIR PLAY POLICY
Voting - politicians have a big problem getting any of us to vote once every 4-5 years, whilst here, we have everyone wanting to vote numerous times, and some more than others! These awards are all about bigging up and rewarding the best and most popular people within our South West scene, however, some people in the past have tried to influence the result... So, for the sake of everyone, please only vote once. Multiple votes from the same person are pretty easy to spot and they won't be counted. Simple. We want these awards to be a true reflection of the scene, so if your out to cheat and fix the awards, we don't want you involved in any way. And if we spot anyone doing it, we won't hesitate to name and shame them across the whole scene...
Campaigning and encouraging people to vote for you is fine, we've enough made a voting kit for you this time, but massive spamming across the internet and placing false votes using random names isn't cool in any way, so please, save your efforts on that one and just go and encourage your friends, family, associates and anyone who knows you to vote for you instead. Simple. Sorry to go on about it, but we feel it's important to highlight this.
WHAT IS THE SOUTH WEST DRUM AND BASS AWARDS ALL ABOUT?
The
scene down here is really lively and we thought it was about time to
recognise and big up the best nights, MC's and DJ's in the scene.
You've got the National D'n'B awards but the South West doesn't even
get a look in at these so we thought - it's about time we did it
ourselves! The event is co-promoted by Mastervibe and supported by
Nigel Muntz though the 247 Magazine connection. All the voting side of
things is undertaken by Nige and his team to ensure it is totally
independent and fair. There is no biased to any one night or person and
the results truly represent the views of the voters. The South West is
in our eyes and for the purpose of these awards, the counties of
Cornwall, Devon & Somerset. Bristol is in the West OK!
